Hoist Fitness Quality Assurance Testing

HOIST® Fitness prides itself on maintaining the highest quality standards for both commercial and consumer equipment. To ensure that every machine fulfills these strict specifications, HOIST puts each machine through a variety of testing procedures.

EN957 CERTIFICATES

Each HOIST commercial product receives an EN957 certificate. The EN957 is a European Standard safety specification which provides testing methods and safety requirements for stationary training equipment.

FEA (FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS)

HOIST conducts FEA testing on all machines prior to production. FEA testing is a computer software program that verifies the integrity of a machine, taking into account the actual CAD design combined with the various materials used in the machine design.

CYCLE TESTING

HOIST has its very own Cycle Testing Facility on-site at their headquarters. In this facility, each new machine is tested during its prototype and beta phase with the goal of achieving 1,000,000 test cycles before failure. The Cycle Testing Facility uses pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic or electrical actuators depending on the machines design and function. Each product is subjected to stress, strain conditions well in-excess of normal use to ensure top-quality.

HOIST’s rigorous product testing process provides many benefits for both current products and future product designs.

BENEFITS OF HOIST’S TESTING PROCEDURES:

  • Allows HOIST to uncover faults and issues quickly to make adjustments prior to the products launch.
  • Allows HOIST to test against higher-than-normal usage conditions to ensure premier quality in any condition.
  • Allows HOIST to use test results for future product development.
  • Ensures prototype and final product designs match engineering design specifications.
  • Provides 3rd party testing and certification.
